OK. So I haven’t been keeping up with this whole blog thing. Sorry. I guess that’s also a good thing because that means I’m busy. I’ve got a lot of new work I want to showcase and and I’m gonna do it. I swear. Keep coming back, it’ll be here soon. If I want to succeed, then I have to work at it. No one else is gonna do it for me. Right.

So it’s time to buckle down, or as Gary Vaynerchuck once said…”smurf it up!”

I recently did a half page ad for Light.Love.Laughter. Photography. The ad is going in a Georgia magazine geared towards brides (and grooms) who are looking for locations, photographers and other things associated with getting married. So…getting married? Look for light, love & laughter.

OK. So the day has finally come. I launched my new website, markhobbsdesign.com. I’m really excited! I timed the launch to go with this blog, my facebook page, my twitter account and my LinkedIn profile. I hope it all works out I’m confident it will. Please let me know what you think. So the time has finally come. IE6 is gone. All the fond memories (which thankfully for me were few and far between) of compatibility issues etc. now fall into the depths of our memories. If you are still using IE6…STOP! Google has officially stopped supporting it, and Microsoft hasn’t supported it for a while now. I did find somewhere you can show your respects. It’s time to update people!

So…I’ve been working on this for awhile now. I’ve had some setbacks. The usual ones, like scheduling, code knowledge, and the desire to make it perfect…which it will probably never be. This is due to the fact that I am a designer and I am always seeing something that I think looks cooler. However, it is time to finally make the final push. I wanted to start posting to this blog as well, since I just started it, and figured now might be a good time to start putting down my thoughts. (more…)
